Bright Box configuration
To activate the containment filter on Bright Box devices, please do the following: Register for free Connect to the control panel by entering the IP address of the Bright Box in the browser. Then enter your login credentials. First, you need to change the DNS of the device. To do this, click on the [Advanced] tab at the top of the page and open the [Broadband Settings] menu. In the window that appears, choose "MANUAL", under "DNS IP Address," and type these IPs into the "Primary DNS" and "Secondary DNS" fields, respectively: » 185.236.104.104 » 185.236.105.105 Click on the [SAVE SETTINGS] button to apply the changes.
To configure dynamic DNS service, open the [System] menu and click [DDNS]. Check the "Dynamic DNS" box and copy the following steps: » Provider: select DYNDNS.org. » Domain name: Type in the domain flashstart.com. » Account/Email: Enter the e-mail/user name of the Content Filter. » Password/Key: Enter the password of the Content Filter. Click the [SAVE SETTINGS] button to save the changes.
Next, you can enable the DHCP server to automatically distribute our DNS to internal network devices. Open the [DHCP] menu and enable the DHCP Server item. Choose a lease time and enter the first and last IP address of the DHCP range. PLEASE NOTE: DHCP will distribute your unique IP as a unique DNS.
