Cloud and local DNS cache
This environment is ideal for larger ISP networks and can scale up to a high number of QPS (queries per second). It consists of a cloud configuration and an on-premises local DNS cache (called DNS Proxy) to ensure low response times and high cache speeds. It can be run as a virtual machine, with a pre-configured VM template for Vmware, Hyper-V and Proxmox. You can find more information on configuring DNS Proxy Setup.
The DNS Proxy can also be added later to a Cloud Puro environment, and users can be migrated gradually from Cloud DNS IPs to the DNS Proxy IP. As in the Cloud Puro method, we suggest creating NAT rules to forward DNS requests to the DNS Proxy IP. In this case, you must redirect all DNS requests except those coming from the DNS Proxy IP (to avoid loops in the network). NOTE: If you are using a Mikrotik router, you can find more information here: Mikrotik for ISP: NAT rules to DNS Proxy
Sometimes, problems can occur in some parts of the world when accessing websites that use CDNs to distribute audio and video content worldwide. These problems may occur due to the geographical restrictions of the CDN. You can easily solve the problem by forwarding CDN-related domains directly to the main servers, overriding normal DNS behavior. You can find more information by clicking here.
