navigate to the sidebar menu https //app archbee com/docs/k8lcemftgndlt4nfq176k/pzfsgoi 0kubyuwp7soz9 and select the doh & dot tab in the top navigation bar overview the doh & dot module allows you to configure secure, encrypted dns connections using dns over https (doh) and dns over tls (dot) protocols use case unlike standard ip based filtering, these protocols do not rely on your public ip address they use a unique url or hostname to identify the device this makes them ideal for roaming users , mobile devices , or employees working from home (w\ f h ) who frequently change networks security both protocols encrypt dns queries, preventing third parties (like isps or wi fi snoopers) from seeing your browsing activity interface overview the interface is divided into two main areas the top control bar and the main list view top controls use these tools to manage the list creation and navigation interface element description & focus search bar allows you to quickly filter the list to find a specific configuration by searching for its name or url + add network + add network the blue button on the right opens the configuration wizard to generate a new encrypted dns token list view the main workspace displays a table of all authorized encrypted network profiles interface element description & focus status a green dot indicates the profile is active name a name to identify the device or user (e g , "ceo laptop", "roaming ipad") clicking this name opens the detailed settings dot url the specific hostname used for dns over tls configuration (e g , 853 example net) doh url the specific url used for dns over https configuration in browsers or os settings (e g , https //doh example net/dns query) note optional description (e g , "assigned to sales dept") actions use the trash can icon to delete the network profile configuration & logic 1\ creating a new profile to generate a new encrypted dns link, click the blue + add network + add network button on the right side of the page this will open the wizard where you define the name and assign the security policy the system will then automatically generate the unique doh and dot urls for you for a step by step explanation on how to create a profile and where to input these urls on your devices (browsers, android, ios), please refer to our dedicated guide 2\ managing existing profiles you can modify the policies for an existing profile at any time action click directly on the network name in the list result this will open the network detail page , where you can change the assigned policy important requirement doh and dot require specific client configuration you cannot simply set an ip address on the router you must enter the generated url into the browser settings (chrome/edge/firefox) or the operating system's secure dns settings
