## Overview

Connect to the control panel by entering **[fritz.box](https://fritz.box)** in the address bar of any browser. If it is your first access, connect your PC client via a LAN cable. Then, log in by entering your administrative credentials with the correct password.

## Configure DNS over TLS

To confirm the activation of the DoT service, you will need a registered phone number to confirm the option remotely, or have direct physical access to the device.

To proceed with the setup, follow these steps within the Fritz!Box interface:

- Go to **Internet** > **Account Information** > **DNS Server** > navigate to the **DNS over TLS** section.
- Check the box to enable **Encrypted name resolution on the Internet**.
- Check the box to **Force a certificate check for encrypted name resolution on the Internet**.
- In the **Resolution names of the DNS servers** field, enter the DoT address obtained from the Cloud platform. Example: <font color="#247d45">xxxx##.dot.mydomain.com</font>.

If you need to force communication solely via DoT, deselect the checkbox: **Allow fallback to unencrypted name resolution on the Internet**.
