Overview
Connect to the control panel by entering fritz.box in the address bar of any browser. If it is your first access, connect your PC client via a LAN cable. Then, log in by entering your administrative credentials with the correct password.
Configure DNS over TLS
To confirm the activation of the DoT service, you will need a registered phone number to confirm the option remotely, or have direct physical access to the device.
To proceed with the setup, follow these steps within the Fritz!Box interface:
- Go to Internet > Account Information > DNS Server > navigate to the DNS over TLS section.
- Check the box to enable Encrypted name resolution on the Internet.
- Check the box to Force a certificate check for encrypted name resolution on the Internet.
- In the Resolution names of the DNS servers field, enter the DoT address obtained from the Cloud platform. Example: xxxx##.dot.mydomain.com.
If you need to force communication solely via DoT, deselect the checkbox: Allow fallback to unencrypted name resolution on the Internet.
