1. To activate the Cloud filter

If you have not yet registered for the service you can do so by clicking on the following link: Register here. Connect to the control panel by entering the IP address of the Linksys in the address bar of any Browser. Then log in by entering your credentials. First you need to configure the DNS of the device. To do this, open the [Connectivity] menu and then click on [Internet Settings].

Then click on the [Edit] item next to Type of Internet Connection and choose the connection mode of your connection. PLEASE NOTE: In this example, Static IP mode will be used. Should you wish to use, for example, Automatic Configuration - DHCP, then you would need to configure our DNS on the network's DHCP Server. Fill in the various fields as follows: » Internet IPv4 address: Enter your Static Public IP. » Subnet mask: Enter the network mask of your connection. » Default gateway: Enter the IP of the default gateway (usually the IP of the Router). » DNS 1: Enter the IP 185.236.104.104. » DNS 2 (optional): Enter the IP 185.236.105.105. » DNS 3 (optional): Leave the field blank. Click on the [Ok] button to save the changes.

To configure Dynamic DNS service, open the [Security] menu and then click on [Apps and Gaming]. Then select Dyn.com from the drop-down menu next to Select a provider: and configure the service as follows: » Username: Enter the email/username of the Filter. » Password: Enter your password. » Host Name: Enter ddns.flashstart.com. Finally, click [Update] to make the changes.

At this point you can enable the DHCP Server so that it automatically assigns network parameters, including our DNS, to the various internal devices. Then open the [Connectivity] menu and click on [Local Network]. Check Enabled next to DHCP Server, to enable the service, and then configure it with the parameters of your network. Then enter the following IPs in the Static DNS 1 and Static DNS 2 fields, respectively: » 185.236.104.104 » 185.236.105.105 Finally, click [Ok] to activate the service.

Alternatively, the DNS of the various devices within the network can be changed manually.
