Reports and Log Overview
Overview
The Reports and Log section is the central command center for monitoring and analyzing your network traffic and filtering activity. Here, you can review detailed statistics and investigate specific DNS queries to ensure your security policies are working effectively.
To access this section, navigate to Reports and Log in the main sidebar. The menu is divided into three key areas:
Overview Dashboard
The Overview area provides an immediate snapshot of your network traffic and filtering health. It is designed to give you a quick summary of your most critical metrics at a glance.
- Key Performance Indicators: Instantly view total requests, blocked threats, allowed requests, and unresolved domains.
- Trend Visualization: Quickly analyze interactive charts showing your top categories, malware trends, and DNS request percentages.
- Quick Insights: Get a fast pulse on your network security before diving into deeper analytics.

How the Reporting Flow Works
To effectively monitor your network security, follow this logical workflow:
- Identify the Goal: Decide whether you need a broad overview of your network trends or if you need to investigate a single specific traffic event.
- Check the Overview: Start with the Overview dashboard for an immediate snapshot of your daily or weekly network health.
- Review Analytics: Use Analytical Reports to spot unusual spikes in blocked traffic, identify top visited domains, and get a deeper understanding of the trends.
- Investigate Logs: Use Log Search to drill down into the raw data and find the exact query, time, policy, and reason behind any specific event you spotted in the analytics.
