Teldat configuration
To activate the containment filter on Teldat devices, please do the following: Register for free
Connect to the control panel by entering the IP address of the Teldat device in the browser. Then enter the login credentials. First, you need to change the DNS of the device. For web filtering to work on the devices, you need to configure the router and replace the DNS with ours. To do this, go to the router panel and enter the following commands:
If you have a dynamic IP address, configure DynDNS on the router as follows:
You can strengthen security by preventing user DNS changes. To do this, simply create a new access list for use on the WAN interface, as follows:
The advanced feature called Multiprofile allows you to create multiple profiles per client/license and associate them with a single network (IP address).Web Filter recognizes the remote network (and configuration profile) based on the public IP. For example, if you have the address "1.2.3.4", you can use the following ports: » Standard port 58 (default profile); » Other ports (110,143,5402,5403). As you can see, there are two profiles (Default and Profile 2), port 53 and 5402, respectively. If you want to create two or more profiles per network (same IP address), you need to configure a different port for each profile. First, enable the AFS feature:
Then change the DNS request (port 53) to the new port via NAT: PLEASE NOTE: Note that a port other than 53 must be entered in PORT_PROFILE2 between 110,143,5402 and 5403.
PLEASE NOTE: the default port (53) connects directly, no special configuration is needed. Here is an example of configuring the web filter with MultiProfile or Dynamic DNS in Teldat, so that only Teldat DNS servers can be used:
