1. To activate the Cloud filter

If you have not yet registered for the service you can do so by clicking on the following Register Here link. Connect to the control panel by entering the IP address of the Zyxel/Zywall in the address bar of any Browser. Then log in by entering your credentials. Click on the gear on the left and then open the [Network] menu then go to [WAN]. Look for the WAN DNS Assignment item and select, from the drop-down menu, User Defined. Then enter the following DNS in the First DNS Server and Second DNS Server fields, respectively: » 185.236.104.104 » 185.236.105.105

At this point you need to activate and configure the Dynamic DNS service. Then click on [Network] and then on [DDNS]. Put a check mark on Enable Dynamic DNS, to enable the service, and configure the various fields as follows: » Service Provider: Choose WWW.DynDNS.ORG as the service. PLEASE NOTE: It is not necessary to register for the dyndns service, it still works since the Filter redirects the request to itself. » Host Name: Enter any name you like for this field. For example Filter. » Username: Enter the username or email you used to register for the Filter Cloud. » Password: Enter your password, received via email. Click [Apply] to save the changes.

At this point you can configure the DHCP Server to automatically assign network parameters, including our DNS, to the various devices. To do this click on the [Network] menu and then on [DHCP Server]. Enable the service by putting a check mark on the Enable DHCP Server item and enter in the Initial IP Pool Address field the first IP in the DHCP range and, within the Pool Size field the number of addresses to be assigned. Then click on the [Apply] button to save.

Open the [Advanced] tab and look for the DNS Server item. Then select the User Defined item and enter the following DNS within the First DNS Server and Second DNS Server fields, respectively: » 185.236.104.104 » 185.236.105.105 IMPORTANT: Alternatively, it is possible to set the IP address of the Zyxel/Zywall as the only DNS. This way the clients will use the DNS set on the router, which is ours. Finally, click [Apply] to keep the changes.
