Navigate to the sidebar menu: Protection > Policies open a Standard Policy, and select the Content tab in the top navigation bar.
Overview
The Content module allows you to regulate internet access based on the nature of the websites being visited. Unlike the Malware module (which focuses on security threats), this section focuses on Access Control and Policy Enforcement (e.g., preventing access to gambling sites or reducing distractions).
Interface Overview
The dashboard is organized into two main navigation areas to help you manage your security policy:
- Left Sidebar: Lists the specific filtering groups (e.g., Parental Control, Work, Leisure and Others).
- Main Panel: Displays the specific categories contained within the selected group, along with their control toggles.
You may notice a Clock Icon next to each category toggle. This feature is designed to set time-based restrictions, allowing you to define specific time windows when the protection should be active.
Understanding the Modules
Different groups target different types of web traffic. Use this guide to decide which ones to restrict.
Category Group | Focus & Description |

Parental Control | The most critical group for minors and schools. Blocks Pornography, Gambling, Drugs, and Violence. |
IT Services | Manages access to technical tools like File Storage, Web Hosting and Translators. |
Work | Blocks categories related to specific job functions, such as Job Search or Professional Networking. |
Leisure and Others | Focuses on removing distractions. Includes Social Networks, Video Streaming, and Online Games. |
Ads & Trackers | Blocks advertising banners and tracking scripts. Enabling this group significantly speeds up web browsing. |
National Blocklist and Foundations | Blocks sites deemed illegal or restricted by specific national authorities (e.g., government-mandated blocklists). |
If a category block is too aggressive (e.g., blocking "Health" prevents access to a hospital site), add the specific domain to your Exceptions (Allow List).
Configuration & Logic
The filtering logic works with simple toggles:
- Toggle ON (Blue): The category is BLOCKED. Users will not be able to visit websites belonging to this group.
- Toggle OFF (Grey): The category is ALLOWED.
- Enable All / Disable All: Located at the bottom-right of each group. Checking this box instantly blocks all categories in the current group. Unchecking it disables the global block, allowing you to select individual categories.
You don't have to block the entire group. For example, in Leisure, you can block Social Networks but allow Music & Radio.
