ISP and WISP Setup Guide

0min

ISPs and WISPs can easily protect their networks by configuring our Filters to avoid malicious content and malware, which are often responsible for bottlenecks that increase help desk effort. Our Lite solution also fully supports the CGNAT environment. Depending on the size of the customer base, different configuration modes are available to best suit any reality:

» Pure Cloud: secure resolvers will be set up in edge routers as forwarders, if clients use the router's DNS as a server, or deployed directly in the client's network configuration (e.g., via DHCP). With Mikrotik it is also possible to configure some destination rules (NAT rules) to automatically redirect all DNS requests to our datacenters.

» Cloud with local DNS cache (for larger installation) : an on-premises virtual machine will be installed within the ISP's network and will forward DNS traffic to our Cloud hosts. This mode of configuration will greatly increase performance by benefiting from a zero-latency local caching environment. It will also allow you to easily configure and manage different filtering policies for your clients.

Below are our guides:

» Pure Cloud » Cloud with local DNS cache

Additional feature: » Data Export » Import RPZ lists
