navigate to the sidebar menu https //app archbee com/docs/k8lcemftgndlt4nfq176k/pzfsgoi 0kubyuwp7soz9 and select the static ranges tab in the top navigation bar overview the static ranges module is designed for organizations that own or manage a specific block of sequential ip addresses (e g , from x x x 10 to x x x 20) use case instead of adding 10 individual "static ip" networks, you can define a single rule that covers the entire sequence requirement the range is defined by a start address and an end address both must be valid ipv4 addresses interface overview the interface is divided into two main areas the top control bar and the main list view top controls use these tools to manage the list creation and navigation interface element description & focus search bar allows you to quickly filter the list to find a specific range by searching for its name or ip address + add network + add network the blue button on the right opens the configuration wizard to register a new ip range in the system list view the main workspace displays a table of all authorized ip ranges interface element description & focus status a green dot indicates the network range is active name a name to identify the location or segment (e g , "server farm a", "guest wi fi block") clicking this name opens the detailed settings ip range shows the defined span of addresses (e g , 80 1 1 10 80 1 1 20) authorized for this rule policies shows the specific policy assigned to this entire block of ips note optional description (e g , "reserved for guest vlan") actions use the pencil icon to edit the range details or the trash can icon to delete the network configuration & logic 1\ creating a new range to authorize a new block of ips, click the blue + add network + add network button on the right side of the page this will open the configuration wizard where you will specify the start ip and end ip adding a network range for a step by step explanation on how to fill out the creation panel and assign policies to a range, please refer to our dedicated guide 2\ managing existing ranges just like with single ips, you can manage the specific policies for an existing range action click directly on the network name in the list result this will open the network detail page , where you can manage the policies and see the dns resolvers that must be configured for this range important distinction static ips use for single, isolated addresses static ranges use for a sequential list of ips (start > end) static cidrs use for standard subnet masks (e g , /24, /29)
