navigate to the sidebar menu https //app archbee com/docs/k8lcemftgndlt4nfq176k/pzfsgoi 0kubyuwp7soz9 and select the static cidrs tab in the top navigation bar overview the static cidrs module is designed for organizations or internet service providers (isps) that need to filter traffic for entire subnets using standard cidr (classless inter domain routing) notation use case this is the most efficient method for managing large network segments (e g , routing a /24 subnet containing 256 addresses) under a single rule without defining start/end points manually requirement you must know the network address and the suffix (e g , 192 168 1 0/24) interface overview the interface is divided into two main areas the top control bar and the main list view top controls use these tools to manage the list creation and navigation interface element description & functions search bar allows you to quickly filter the list to find a specific subnet by searching for its name or cidr address + add network + add network the blue button on the right opens the configuration wizard to register a new subnet in the system list view the main workspace displays a table of all authorized cidr networks interface element description & functions status a green dot indicates the subnet is active and correctly configured name a name to identify the segment (e g , "guest wifi vlan", "corporate subnet") clicking this name opens the detailed settings cidr shows the defined subnet in standard notation (e g , 80 1 1 0/24) policies shows the specific policy assigned to this entire subnet note optional description or internal notes actions use the pencil icon to edit the subnet details or the trash can icon to delete the network configuration & logic 1\ creating a new cidr to authorize a new subnet, click the blue + add network + add network button on the right side of the page this will open the configuration wizard where you will specify the network address and the mask bits (e g , /24, /29) for a step by step explanation on how to fill out the creation panel and assign policies to a subnet, please refer to our dedicated guide 2\ managing existing cidrs you can modify the policies for an existing subnet at any time action click directly on the network name in the list result this will open the network detail page , where you can manage the policies and see the dns resolvers that must be configured for this subnet important distinction static ranges use this if you have a specific start and end ip (e g , 10 to 20) static cidrs use this if you are managing standard network blocks (e g , a full /24 class c network) this is often preferred by network engineers for its precision
