Why are filters not applied to the network?

0min

In order for filters to be properly applied on one's network, it is first necessary to properly configure our DNS within one's network. There are several methods to do this, such as configuring DNS manually on devices, using a dhcp service, via firewall rules, etc. Below are some tricks that may help you when setting up filters: » If you configure our DNS on the router, it does not mean that internally the devices use these DNS, so you will need to configure a DHCP service or firewall rules to force the use of our DNS on the internal network. » Check that the protection rules have been properly configured on the cloud panel (protection menu). » Check that no VPNs are active on your pc or device/ disable any VPNs try again to access the blocked site. » Verify that there are no blocking rules on DNS resolution on the router/firewall. To verify this you will be able to use a different port instead of the standard port (53). Using the following commands, you will be able to check if there are any blocking rules on DNS resolution. » Open cmd on your device and run the following commands: -nslookup -set port=53535 -domain_blocked ( where domain_blocked is the domain that should be blocked) » If the result is 185.236.107.107 it means that the domain has been filtered, so there is a redirection on port 53. In this case it will be necessary to disable the redirection rules on the router/firewall. If the problem has not been resolved, please open a support ticket by clicking here.
